BREAKING: Congressional Debate canceled

University officials have canceled the 3rd District Congressional Debate scheduled tonight due to the threat of severe weather in and around the Starkville area.
At 2:40 p.m., the National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for Starkville and Meridian until 11 p.m. tonight. A tornado watch means that conditions are favorable for such an event to occur.
Classes scheduled after 8 p.m. are also canceled because of inclement weather.
The Reflector will have more updates on the continuing weather situation as information becomes available.
