Mississippi State University President Mark Keenum announced that Provost Peter Rabideau will step down from his role as chief academic officer at the end of the year and return to a full-time faculty position in the chemistry department. A Mississippi State University freshman was pronounced dead after collapsing in his residence hall Thursday night. According to an MSU press release, freshman civil engineering major Matthew Gatewood, 18, of Clinton, was rushed to Oktibbeha County Hospital after MSU police officers responded to a 911 call at Hull Hall at approximately 9 p.m. (0) comments
