In the last year, the MSU Student Association has been distant, seemingly dormant. To be sure, students had legitimate concerns and interests during this period, but the SA seemingly did little to address these issues and advocate these feelings. It's about time someone "outted" the Weather Channel as entertainment and not serious informational programming as it likes to suggest. With many friends in the Broadcast Meteorology major, a continued lifelong interest in meteorology and a wealth of exposure to the field, I speak on whatever credibility I may have accumulated to tell you today that the Weather Channel - and its Web site weather.com - is not to be trusted. At least here in Mississippi, if not the whole nation, some progress is being made against illegal immigration. A bill that just passed the state's Senate floor could deny illegal immigrants workers' compensation and death benefits. (44) comments
