Prison has failed to reform convicts because people think that the best way to teach criminals to live productively in American society is to throw them into an alternative society consisting of murderers and street thugs. This is like socializing small children by having them raised by wolves - which is a great way to raise kids if you want them to become wolves. (0) comments

SA has served students well
by Timothy Jackson

The SA Senate should be commended for passing a resolution that will take MSU one step closer to being a cleaner university. The resolution calls for more recycling bins on campus. Currently, MSU only has containers for paper, cardboard and compost. This resolution wants to add containers for plastics, tin, paper and more aluminum, upgrade containers for cardboard and put containers at more buildings. (0) comments

How selfish do you think you are? Most of us would answer that laughingly, owning up to our selfishness, while still thinking silently that we're not that bad. After all, there are much worse people out there, right? Well, maybe. Or maybe those "worse" people have just been given more freedom to exercise their selfishness. (0) comments
