With a gentle smile and long, curly hair that seems to defy gravity, he has been greeting students as they board the University bus for nearly nine years.

But now Ray says he is concerned about the future of his job.

Georgia football player Michael Lemon has been charged with a felony in an alcohol-related battery incident Saturday night that sent a University student to the hospital with a severe eye injury, according to an Athens-Clarke County police report.

Warrants have been issued charging Lemon with misdemeanor battery and felony aggravated battery. If found guilty, Lemon could face 20 years in jail.

Family, friends and fellow Marines will gather today to remember an SIUC student who was killed after his motorcycle collided with a van Friday morning. Bradley Owings, 24, was traveling west on Illinois Route 13 at a high speed when he ran a red light and crashed into a van turning left onto Reed Station Road, according to reports from the Carbondale Police Department and the Jackson County Coroner.

Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Year and former Nicholls safety Kareem Moore was drafted to the Washington Redskins May 18 in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft; he was 180th overall.

Moore was the second player to be drafted to the NFL in recent years.

TULLAHOMA, Tenn. (AP) _ Police say three Middle Tennessee teenagers died when their sport utility vehicle became stuck in mud which plugged the exhaust system.

Eighteen-year-old Josh Baker of Winchester, 17-year-old Kristie Burton of Lynchburg and 15-year-old Alyssa Rucker of Tullahoma were found dead in the vehicle Saturday night.

Gary Graham, director of the Office of Parking, Traffic and Transportation, said the University seeks to hire a national company to replace CATS.
